KBA company news – here’s your latest update from the KBA team

Every month, we share some highlights of what’s been happening in and around KBA.

First up, three team members have celebrated their work anniversaries:

Mandy Mycock has been supporting customers in Nantwich for four years

⭐Emily Bartley, paraplanner pro, has been supporting our Financial Planners for three years

⭐Steven Bill, Agency Manager, has been doing a brilliant job, leading the team and helping customers in Bury for two years

In other news this month, we returned to Back on Track Manchester – with another grant from the Openwork Foundation. And Sarah Hogan went one better, by travelling to South Africa with her mum and two daughters to visit Starfish Ministries, a charity that provides early years and after-school education for children in South Africa.

Plus, following the success of our IHT webinar earlier this month, reserve your spot for our next one when Sarah Hogan will unpack the Autumn Budget and explain how the changes announced might affect you and your financial plan.

We went to visit our friends at Back on Track Manchester

You may remember that we first started working with Back on Track Manchester two years ago, when we helped secure their very first grant from the Openwork Foundation, all thanks to a wonderful client recommendation encouraging us to visit and see their incredible work.

Since then, Back on Track has become a charity close to our hearts. For the past two years running, we’ve chosen them as our annual Christmas donation, giving £500 to a local charity instead of sending Christmas cards to our clients.

This year, we were delighted to go one step further and secure Back on Track their second Openwork Foundation grant of £7,500.

Sarah, Emma, and Claire visited their Manchester centre to see firsthand the life-changing support they provide.

Back on Track helps people overcome challenges such as homelessness, mental health issues, substance misuse, and more, offering education, training, and volunteering opportunities that empower people to rebuild their lives.

We’re incredibly proud of this ongoing partnership and grateful to the Openwork Foundation for funding projects that make such a difference to vulnerable people across the UK and beyond.

We also love hearing your personal recommendations for local charities to support. If you have a charity close to your heart that you’d like to put forward, please email Emma at emma.bell@kbafinancial.com, who will be delighted to hear from you.

Making a Difference Together: Our Support for Starfish Ministries and Beyond

On 14 October, Sarah Hogan, her mum, and her two daughters travelled to South Africa to visit Starfish Ministries, one of the three incredible charities we’ve proudly supported this year.

Thanks to the generous donations from our team, clients, and community, Sarah was able to take over 80kg of clothing and educational toys to the children at Starfish Ministries’ school in Temperance Town, Gordon’s Bay.

This is a snap of Lucy Hogan packing just a few of the clothes and toys the family group took with them.

The visit offered a firsthand look at how our collective efforts are helping to provide early years and after-school support to children in need, a truly inspiring experience.

Any remaining donations from our campaign will now be passed on to our friends at Wood Street Mission Manchester, ensuring that nothing goes to waste and that even more families benefit from your kindness.

This initiative formed part of our ongoing commitment to supporting charities close to our hearts, including:

🧸 Wood Street Mission – helping families across Manchester and Salford with clothing and Christmas gifts for children.
🧴 Funding Futures – supporting young people pursuing further education and providing essentials for women rebuilding their lives.
🏫 Starfish Ministries – providing early years and after-school education for children in South Africa.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who contributed. Your donations have made a real impact, both locally and internationally, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved together.
