Every month, we share some highlights of what’s been happening in and around KBA.
This month, big congratulations to Matt Marsh, who’s been with us for three years. Joining us in June 2023, Matt has worked tirelessly to progress from our Client Support team to becoming a fully-fledged Financial Planner.
Although we only marked one work anniversary, two team members have celebrated significant birthdays this month. While Mollie Scotson turned 21, Milly Gresty blew out 30 candles on her birthday earlier this month! Happy birthday to you both!
Three KBA ladies are dominating this news update, as Sarah and Emma have both been nominated for important professional awards, and Karen Fogg and her daughters hosted their Annual Afternoon Tea.
Sarah Hogan has been nominated for 3 Women in Financial Advice Awards

Triple-sized congratulations are in order for Sarah, our Company Director & Chartered Financial Planner, who has been nominated for not one, but three Women in Financial Advice Awards (WIFA) with Professional Adviser.
For the eighth consecutive year, Sarah has been nominated for multiple awards in the prestigious annual event. This year, she’s longlisted for:
✨ Financial Adviser of the Year – North West
✨ Woman of the Year – Investment Advice
✨ Woman of the Year – Retirement Planning
Needless to say, we’re all incredibly proud to see her recognised for her dedication, expertise, and continued commitment to delivering exceptional advice and support to our clients.
There’s a bit of a wait before we’ll know the outcome, but we already have the champagne on ice, so we’ll be ready to raise our glasses, whatever the result. 🍾
Emma Bell is also in line to win 2 Women in Financial Advice Awards

Congratulations to Emma, our Events & Marketing Executive, who joins Sarah in the wait to see if she will win one or both awards that she has been nominated for in the Professional Adviser’s Women in Financial Advice Awards.
Fortunately, the pair aren’t going head to head!
Emma has been nominated for:
✨ Marketing Influencer of the Year
✨ Role Model of the Year
This is the third year that Emma has been nominated for a WIFA Award, and we’re ridiculously proud of her achievements.
The awards dinner is due to be held in London on Wednesday 4 November – we’ll let you know how Sarah and Emma get on.
Karen Fogg and her daughters have hosted their 12th Annual Afternoon Tea

At the beginning of June, Karen and her two daughters, Lucy and Amy, hosted their 12th Annual Afternoon Tea in aid of Breast Cancer Now in memory of Karen’s Auntie Christine. 💗
The tireless trio have been holding the increasingly popular event since 2014, dedicating their time, energy, and passion to raising money for an incredible cause.
So far, their efforts this year have helped to raise more than £3,500 – with almost half the funds made in a single afternoon selling tea, coffee, sandwiches, and cakes to guests, and the rest from donations through their dedicated JustGiving page.
If you’d like to support this amazing cause, any donation, no matter how big or small, would be hugely appreciated. Please follow this JustGiving link to donate.
Well done, ladies, you are incredible – and we’re not the only ones who think so.
Posting on LinkedIn, Breast Cancer Now said: “We’re so grateful to Karen, Lucy, and Amy for their continued support for Afternoon Tea over the years. It looks like this year’s was another success!”
