Every month, we share some highlights of what’s been happening in and around KBA.
This time, the marketing team are stealing most of the limelight, while Karen Fogg is feeling blessed with a new addition to her family. But first, a couple of milestone work anniversaries.
At the start of the month, we celebrated Financial Planner Garry Lomon, who has been with us for 18 years! We also said “Happy 25th work anniversary” to David Parkinson, another of our much-loved and long-standing Financial Planners.
We made sure they both felt properly spoiled!

Marketing Assistant Mollie Scotson completed her Level 2 Certificate in Digital Promotion for Business

We’re chuffed to bits for Mollie, who gained her Level 2 Certificate in Digital Promotion for Business at the end of July.
Alongside her busy day-to-day role supporting our Marketing and Client Operations departments, Mollie has been working hard to develop her skills and knowledge.
Juggling studies with everyday work commitments can be a tough balancing act, so we’re super proud of Mollie’s dedication and commitment to continuous learning. 💜
Karen Fogg and family welcome baby Daniel to the world
Karen was over the moon when her daughter-in-law gave birth to a son.
Arriving in the middle of a heatwave, at a hospital that didn’t have air conditioning, Daniel Mathers weighed in at a healthy 8 lb 3 oz.
Naturally, we wanted to hear all the news, so here’s what Karen had to say while she showed us all the lovely photos…
“Mum is recovering well after her C-section and is feeling a little better each day.
“Having two daughters and two granddaughters, I’m not used to having boys in the family, so it’s lovely to finally welcome a little grandson. It’s a whole new adventure, but one I’m sure we’ll all quickly get used to!
“Our step-granddaughter, Annabelle, is away with her mum at the moment, so she hasn’t met him yet. Sophie, however, is completely obsessed with her new baby brother! She wants to help with everything, although she’s a little disappointed that he spends so much time asleep.”

When we asked, “What’s the absolute best thing about being a grandma?” Karen didn’t hesitate. “Without a doubt, it’s when you haven’t seen them for a couple of days, and they come running over, so excited to see you. There’s no better feeling.”
“I feel incredibly blessed.”
