My name is Simon Emerton. I’m from Nantwich and I’ve been working with KBA for six months now. I needed a financial adviser because I needed to obtain a mortgage.

I contacted KBA having already contacted Yorkshire Building Society. My initial contact was James Nelson at KBA, in Leigh. The reception was rather good, the communication was as good as anywhere. Things progressed and I ended up having Joanne Hobson as my financial adviser.

Joanne’s helped me with items of a mortgage, particularly with a bridging loan. I was looking to buy an old stone cottage that wasn’t mortgageable, so it’s been a case of buying a project and progressing for the year of the bridging loan.

The cottage is part of the way through the restoration. The bridging loan is a year, six months of it have gone, the cottage is half done. We’re about on target and things are progressing nicely.

I would say that working with Joanne was extremely successful. She’s a brilliant communicator, she always rings back. She always texts back, she always emails back and she beavers away in the background sorting it all out to the best of her ability which is rather good I think.

I think it would have been difficult to achieve what I wanted to without the assistance of Joanne – a great asset to KBA I’m sure. The best thing about working with Joanne has been her determination to reach the end goals that we’ve been looking for.
