KBA company news – here’s your latest update from the KBA team

Every month, we share some highlights of what’s been happening in and around KBA.

This month, we did it again! And have made the shortlist for another very prestigious professional award.

We also held a birthday party to celebrate our agency branch in Bury, and we have been busy making a list and checking it twice as we collect Christmas gifts for the Wood Street Mission.

Before we dive in, we’ve eaten cupcakes in honour of a handful of work anniversaries:

  • Karen Fogg celebrates 21 amazing years, and deserving the greatest number of the cupcakes!
  • Laura Jones has been on the team for eight years
  • Leyna Shuter celebrates three years – and her second year as our fabulous Area Manager
  • Ciara Fitzgerald-Nolan has been serving our customers in Bury with a smile for one year.
Ending the year on a high note

We are delighted to have been shortlisted for another prestigious award: Adviser Firm of the Year – North West at the 2025 Professional Adviser Awards.

Running for 20 years, the Professional Adviser Awards reward excellence within both the financial advice community and among the broader financial services sectors that help serve advisers and their clients.

With almost 300 advisers, firms, and product providers considered each year, we are honoured to be named on the shortlist for Adviser Firm of the Year.

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us in 2024 and throughout our journey, it means the world to us.

We’re looking forward to attending the awards ceremony in March 2025 and will, of course, keep you posted. 🍾 🥂

Celebrating 3 years since we opened our YBS Agency and Financial Planning Office in Bury

We hosted a birthday party to celebrate our third year in Bury.

The KBA YBS Agency and Financial Planning Office in the heart of Bury served coffee and cake with the usual friendly smiles throughout the day on Friday 29 November.

Always on hand to answer customer questions about financial planning, savings, and more, we welcomed many new faces who popped in to say hello and find out what all the fun was about!

Collecting Christmas gifts for the Wood Street Mission

We’re proud to support the Wood Street Mission Christmas Appeal again this year. Helping to bring joy to local children in need during festive season, all five of our KBA offices were set up as collection points for donations.

We were inundated with support and received loads of brilliant new toys, gifts, and books for children aged 0-14. Not to mention chocolate treats, selection boxes, and handy paper to help with all the essential gift wrapping.

Wood Street Mission is a children’s charity helping children and families living on a low income in Manchester and Salford. Your generous contributions are bound to help make Christmas brighter for many local children and families.

Thank you for your kindness and support. To find out more about the work, check out the Wood Street Mission website where you can learn how you can donate or volunteer your time to help. 🎄🎁 ❤️
