KBA company news – here’s your latest update from the KBA team

Every month, we share some highlights of what’s been happening in and around KBA HQ.

This month, we’re thrilled to be named as Top Rated Firm with VouchedFor, Cheryl Clarke has passed another exam, and we raise a toast to Elysia Walsh, one of KBA’s fantastic Financial Planners to celebrate her 10-year anniversary on the team.

In other work-anniversary news, Iona Allinson – one of our lovely Customer Consultants in the Southport Agency – celebrated her one-year work anniversary at the beginning of April. 🥳

Thanks to your reviews, we’re one of the UK’s Top Rated advice firms

In exciting news, we were delighted to feature in VouchedFor’s 2025 Top Rated Guide. Distributed in the Times, the guide celebrates the best financial advice firms in the UK.

Not only were Financial Planners Sarah, David, Elysia, Gary, and Hannah all featured as Top Rated Advisers but KBA The Financial Planning Firm was also named as a Top Rated Financial Adviser Firm for 2025. 🏆

Cheryl Clarke has enjoyed more exam success

KBA’s Agency Manager in Nantwich, Cheryl Clarke has passed her CII Mortgage exam.

Less than a year after gaining her Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, Cheryl has barely paused for breath, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for her.

Having learned to juggle work alongside her studies (supported by an occasional glass of Prosecco), Cheryl’s dedication and ability to balance her responsibilities has more than paid off. 📚👩‍🎓🍾

Elysia Walsh celebrates her 10-year work anniversary

Usually, we’d boil the kettle and chat over tea and biscuits.

However, because Elysia is on leave, and always so busy looking after her clients and caring for her gorgeous family – she has two young sons and two step-daughters – we skipped the pot of tea and figured we’d round up some of Elysia’s key work highlights instead.

  • Elysia is a highly qualified Financial Planner with a 2.1 degree in Financial Services, a Diploma in Financial Advice, and a Certificate in Mortgage Advice.
  • She became a fully qualified Financial Planner in 2016, and specialises in working with clients who are actively looking to improve their financial situation.
  • Elysia has been on VouchedFor for less than two years and is already a Top Rated Adviser, with 5/5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • If she could turn any activity into an Olympic sport and win a medal, it would have to be board games – she’s a total ninja! 🎲
  • The three small things that make Elysia’s day better are her children, a cup of tea, and biscuits 🍪

On that note, when Elysia’s back in the office we’re totally going to make a pot of tea and crack open the best packet of biscuits we can find! 🫖
