As well as running our core business as KBA The Financial Planning Company we are also a Yorkshire Building Society Agency. As an agency for YBS we’re here to help more people save for the things that matter and buy their own home.
YBS agencies are very similar to YBS branches. For many years YBS has partnered with trusted businesses such as ours so that more customers can manage their money with us face-to-face in many more places.
When you visit us, you’ll have the same access to your accounts, can open a savings account and can arrange a YBS mortgage. YBS agencies offer you the same excellent service you would expect in any YBS branch and are located in the heart of communities.
Yorkshire Building Society is a mutual organisation, so by opening an account you become a member and have a say in how the business is run. Unlike banks, the Society has no shareholders to satisfy so can focus instead on members’ needs.

Some Words From Our Company Director
When the opportunity was presented to partner with Yorkshire Building Society, I thought I would be insane not to have a discussion with such a reputable brand and great company. The initial few months were scary as I debated whether to take on their Nantwich Agency as I had no experience of running a building society and all the additional things to consider, costs, team members and things to learn. However, with such a great location and a great team at Nantwich and YBS, I decided to take the plunge. Since then, we have opened the Bury agency and very recently a new agency in Southport. We will continue to progress the relationship for the mutual benefit of us, YBS and our clients.
For KBA, it means having a cash and savings offering for our clients, offices in different locations and being able to bring financial planning to the customers of Yorkshire Building Society as well. This is especially important as the UK population needs advice and there are limited numbers of Financial Planners in the UK’s banks and building societies as they are closing their doors in smaller locations and moving online. Yorkshire Building Society have been innovative in their approach to partner with business like ourselves in order to keep branches open to serve the public. It’s a great company to have a relationship with.
