KBA company news – here’s your latest update from the KBA team

Every month, we share some highlights of what’s been happening in and around KBA.

This month, Ciara Fitzgerald-Nolan took part in an incredible endurance challenge to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and Karen Fogg received a very special invitation from Breast Cancer Now.

Plus, we celebrated several work anniversaries…

Beccy Brook wins the work anniversary prize this month – celebrating 19 years with KBA

Beccy Brooks joined the team when it was still in its infancy, and there were less than 10 people in the office.

Today, there are more than 30 people spread over five offices. As such, Beccy has been with us throughout some incredible changes.

Starting out in an admin role, and progressing to managerial level before training to be a paraplanner, Beccy works tirelessly to support our clients, and the rest of the team.

Thank you, Beccy, for 19 years of hard work, dedication, and excellence! Here’s to many more successful years ahead. 🥂

Beccy may be winning in years, but four other team members have also had work anniversaries this month.

James Nelson has been with us for seven solid years and Mollie Scotson, Lisa Roberts, Julie Leeson have all celebrated three years on the team.

Ciara Fitzgerald-Nolan put us all to shame, competing in an impressive endurance challenge

Ciara Fitzgerald-Nolan spends her working days managing a wide range of day-to-day administrative tasks to support both our advisers and clients.

When she’s finished being a superstar at work, she’s kicking ass, hitting the gym, and taking part in gruelling endurance challenges.

At the beginning of May, Ciara headed to the capital to take part in the HYROX London Olympia 2025, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Research.

For the uninitiated, HYROX combines running and functional workouts, pushing competitors to complete eight 1 km runs followed by eight intense workout stations.

It’s no small feat, but Ciara smashed it, completing the challenge in just 1 hour, 38 minutes, and 6 seconds.

Having set a goal to raise £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support, Ciara smashed that too – at time of writing, she’s raised £570, and counting.

If you’d like to reward Ciara for her incredible performance and support a fantastic cause, here’s a link to her JustGiving page – every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference.

Karen Fogg attended a special event at Manchester Cathedral

Karen Fogg has been raising funds for Breast Cancer Now for more than a decade.

From walking 100 miles in a single month, to holding annual afternoon teas, Karen’s commitment has seen her raise thousands of pounds for the charity. And her efforts even hit the headlines, in summer 2024.

This special invitation-only event celebrated people who have supported the charity in meaningful ways – from organising fundraising events to giving regular donations.

Karen was delighted to be counted among the few invitees.

Guests had a guided tour of the Manchester Cathedral, where the event was held. And, over a delicious lunch, Karen heard inspiring stories from volunteers, nurses, and individuals who have benefited from the charity’s services, and learned more about how donations have made a real difference.
